FLEET
1. Naval
formation commanded by an Admiral (ADM)
and normally comprising at least two cruiser or battle divisions (CRUDIV or BATDIV).
There are two
(2) Named and five (5) Numbered fleets in the Imperium Navy
(IN).
The two (2) Named Fleets, Main Fleet (IN-MF) and Frontier
Fleet (IN-FF), are both nominally based at Admiralty Fleetbase although IN-FF elements are usually dispersed
and patrolling in the Outer Provinces
and Frontier Protectorates from
forward-deployed bases in the Outer Provinces.
IN-MF elements may be found on patrol throughout RI space but only
rarely in the Outer Provinces.
The five (5) Numbered Fleets are stationed one (1)
per IN regional command or Naval Force.
